The Field Pouch works great as a stand-alone small camera shoulder bag. It also works great as an accessory pouch, for batteries, hard disks and extras. It's this versatilty that won us over, as it leverages the Capture system to great effect and can be used with Peak's superbly comfortable (and easily adjustable) straps.

These are the pieces that just missed out, and in most cases, by the smallest of margins. To them, we award a High Commendation. The below were of outstanding quality, displaying fine craftsmanship and design flair. With honour, we bow our heads in the upmost respect and kudos. If this were a dias, they’d be biting their teeth into silver medals, while their flags were hoisted into the horizon – a feat not to be overlooked. Eagle Creek Pack-It Sport Travel Set

Packing modules for travel have traditionally worked best as reasonably square units that nest well in a reasonably square suitcase. But when you start using these in more curvacious day packs, their utility reduces.

Langly Leather Sling

Camera straps are surprisingly hard to get right. With so few design elements, you must balance utility with the level and type of expressiveness that the wearer is targeting. Launched by LA-based photographer Evan Lane, Langly have been one of the success stories of Kickstarter. From their initial camera backpack, they've been expanding the range with additional styles.

In bringing a heritage-inspired lifestyle vibe to camera kit, camera straps make great sense for Langly to target. We love how the Leather Sling creates a refined and attractive aesthetic, without giving up comfort or utility.
