Among the crowd, one name has always stood out: The James Brand. Since its inception in 2012, TJB burst onto the scene with a fresh perspective on everyday carry. We first partnered with them on the Rover Capsule, a travel kit with all you need for your worldwide adventures. And now we’re stoked to be back together on this new collection of two EDC essentials, The Carter EDC Pocket Knife and the Mehlville EDC Carabiner – both Carryology fan favorites in their own right, and solid daily drivers fit for any quality collection.  

The Carter

A Carry Award Winner, The Carter stands out as an exceptional EDC (Everyday Carry) pocket knife, seamlessly blending form and function to create a tool that’s as stylish as it is practical. One of the most notable features is its sleek design, which combines a minimalist aesthetic with premium materials like G10 scales and a VG-10 stainless steel blade. The Carter’s ambidextrous, one-handed operation facilitated by the thumb-disc deployment system ensures ease of use, while its secure frame lock mechanism guarantees safety during even the most demanding tasks.

Adding extra flare and grip, we engraved our Auxikko pattern into the G10 handles via precision CNC machining.

G10 is the best of all worlds as a handle material, with layers of fiberglass fabric being impregnated with epoxy resin. This means it’s incredibly durable and resistant to water, heat, bacteria, and wear. A perfect choice for EDC! Plus, with our pattern it looks phenomenal, catching the light in a whole manner of different ways, while enhancing the grip too!

The Mehlville 

To partner with the Carter, we had to include the Mehlville, our favorite keychain carabiner.
