A two-piece Essentials release with one of our favorite, and most unique sunglasses brands out there today: CAMP Eyewear.

Sunglasses are an indispensable accessory for many of us, and in collaboration with CAMP, we are thrilled to offer our readers two killer styles, designed for the Carryology community.

Introducing the CAMP x Carryology Sunglasses; with CAMP’s HD CR39 Polarized lenses, plant-based bio-plastic frames, and wooden accents laser-engraved with Carryology’s Auxikko pattern.

Wooden Auxikko Inlays

When we first evaluated CAMP’s offerings, we were struck by the elegance of the wooden inlays. There is an art to incorporating wood into gear, and CAMP has mastered it. These inlays have endured through numerous trips, hikes, and beach days, becoming a staple for us in both formal and casual environments. 

From the initial discussions about this project, we envisioned our Auxikko pattern etched into the arms of the sunglasses, and indeed, the pattern complements the dark stained wood beautifully.

As for the signature Carryology pop of orange, it graces the inside of the arms, adding a discreet yet stylish touch without detracting from the classic aesthetic of these classic-vibed shades.

Polarizing

Your eyes are important, so it’s best to do what we can to protect them. That’s why we went with Camp’s impact-resistant HD CR39 polarized, UV blocking lenses. 

Polarization is crucial as it mitigates glare from surfaces such as water, snow, or pavement, enhancing visual clarity. Moreover, these lenses shield your eyes from harmful UVA and UVB rays.

On the back side of these lenses we’ve added a custom, orange optical grade anti-reflective coating, which reduces back glare by 99%.

1% for the Planet

Not only is CAMP a member of the 1% for the Planet organization (donating 1% of all sales to environmental nonprofits), but the entire company operates climate-neutral.

Did we also mention the frames themselves are crafted from a plant-based bioplastic? They’re strong, lightweight, comfortable, and environmentally friendly.

Cozy Case

One of our favorite things about CAMP is the included sleeping bag-style protective case. They’re perfect for every day and travel since they pack small and provide way more protection than a simple sleeve. Plus, they look great. So, we obviously had to include that in the project. We kept it classic Carryology black and orange to match what’s inside.

And for days on the water, or just hangin’ around, there’s an included black and orange lanyard that attaches to the ends of the arms.
