By their own words Francli may not be experts but they do consider themselves explorers. This young Cornish brand is still in its first year but eager to explore the world of functional and long-lasting products through a variety of collaboration projects and a focus on utilizing upcycled materials. Their carry creations are designed to encourage getting out and about, whether it’s a short stroll, a day at the beach or a longer trek, and are all made by hand in Francli’s Cornwall studio.

Old carry gets a fresh form

Sticking with the theme of upcycling, Timbuk2 and TerraCycle have teamed up to give hardworking bags a new lease on life courtesy of a limited edition messenger bag constructed out of nylon US Postal Service mail bags with a waterproof TPU lining. Each messenger bag is unique thanks to the unique wear and print of the mail bags and offers plenty of external and internal organization to accommodate different carry needs.

Inspired by the tough yet alluring Atlantic

13 April Week in Review: Upcycled Bags, Women’s Totes, and Incase ICON

Ruggedly sleek and tough enough to endure outdoor explorations and adventures along the windy and wet Irish Atlantic coast – these were the driving factors behind the carry creations stemming from The Atlantic Equipment Project. The brand features a small but considered collection, all of which is made by hand in the West of Ireland and encompasses two rolltop backpacks, a messenger bag, as well as laptop and tablet sleeves.

An icon is born

13 April Week in Review: Upcycled Bags, Women’s Totes, and Incase ICON

Incase has singled out the ICON as the best backpack they’ve ever made. So what makes it awesome? Well it won’t suit everyone but if you’re a gadget lover it will snag your attention, as this is definitely a pack designed with a tech carrier in mind. Designated spaces for a 15-inch MacBook Pro, iPad and iPhone combine with a variety of additional organization options so users won’t be short of pocket storage. The 20-liter ICON pack is also available in a smaller 16.5-liter version, the appropriately named ICON Slim Pack.
