Porter is an interesting brand. A highly successful and well sought after brand, their products are readily available in their homeland Japan, but are like hens teeth the world over – good luck finding any…

Born and raised in Japan, Porter have been producing classics since the early 60’s. Anyone you see who looks stylish on their way to work on the train (plane or automobile – sorry, couldn’t resist. I love that movie) is pretty much going to be rolling with a Porter product.

For a carry person to say they like Porter is as boring as a product designer saying they like Apple. And like Apple, everyone wants to work with Porter. Fortunately, Porter have opened up a little more then Apple with Porter now the brand companies turn to for a carry co-op.

What have been the best co-ops to come out of the Porter stable? Our favourite is the recent one with Monocle.

From the regular collection tho, some of their recent hits include their Soak wallets and Albert Shoulder bag. Overall Porter can be a little hit and miss, but the hits more than make up for the misses.
