The Brown Buffalo

Founder Douglas Davidson spent his youth immersed in the skateboard culture of the 90’s. He looked up to the artist, the writer, the filmmaker—the person who is always creating.

After a tenure as Senior Design Director at Burton and The North Face and design work for countless genre-defining brands, Douglas decided to apply his industry renowned craftsmanship to his own brand. Finding inspiration in Blues music and classic Americana, he conceived a brand that would merge functionality with a timeless aesthetic. And so, The Brown Buffalo was born.

The Brown Buffalo is a small bag brand, designing and handcrafting batch made goods in the USA.

At their shop in California they design and manufacture purpose-built totes, bags, travel goods, and accessories with our own premium STORMPROOF® fabric. These are Simple Designs for Simple People®, built to make life on the go a little easier.
